CEO Watch Launches Campaign to Examine Records of California Republican Candidates
A project of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) today announced the formation of “CEO Watch,” a project of the LACDP that will expose and explore the records of Republican candidates who brag about their business credentials as qualifications for seeking public office.
CEO Watch will be staffed by Democratic consultants Bob Mulholland, Jeff Millman, and Kam Kuwata.
“This year, Republican candidates say that it is their records in business that qualify them to hold public office,” said LACDP Chair Eric C. Bauman. “We feel it is vital that voters have the opportunity to really look at and understand those records as we move closer to Election Day.”
CEO Watch will be at the Republican Convention this Saturday to begin this important education campaign. “As CEO of Hewlett-Packard, Carly Fiorina laid off 33,000 workers and bragged about shipping American jobs overseas,” said Kuwata, a member of the CEO Watch group. “Who knew what Fiorina meant was that she was the ‘Chief EXPORTING (of jobs) Officer’ at HP.”
“Fiorina has challenged us to look at her record. So we will take her up on that challenge!”
CEO Watch will be at the Republican Convention at 11:15 AM on Saturday across from the Manchester Hyatt Hotel in San Diego.
In addition to CEO Watch, Mulholland, Millman and Kuwata will provide strategic communication advice and support to LACDP on a variety of local, state and federal election matters.
