2012 Organizational Meeting Results

The Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) held its 2012 Organizational meeting on Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Los Angeles County Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration. Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected LACDP Members who won on the June Primary Election ballot.

LACDP Chair Eric C. Bauman was re-elected by acclamation to serve an unprecedented seventh term.  LACDP Vice Chairs Terrence Montgomery and Bobbie Jean Anderson, Recording Secretary Peter Rudinskas, and Controller Karen Wingard were also re-elected to serve four-year terms.  Mark Gonzalez was elected as LACDP’s new Corresponding Secretary.

“I am honored to have been re-elected for another term as Chair of this Party, and I congratulate my fellow elected officers as well as the newly sworn-in members of this body.  I look forward to working with all of them in the battles we face this November,” said LACDP Chair Eric C. Bauman.

Bauman continued, “The Los Angeles County Democratic Party will be on the forefront of the battle to re-elect President Obama and Senator Feinstein, elect Democrats to legislative and local offices, and fight to stand up for Democratic values and working families.  We will work hard to turn out LA’s 2.3 million Democrats, the key to a statewide Democratic victory.”

In addition to his role as Chair of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, Bauman is the Vice Chair of the California Democratic Party.

All officers were reelected by acclamation and will serve for the 2012-2016 term.
