Reorganization of the Democratic State Central Committee (DSCC) begins at the end of 2010 and goes through February 7, 2011. Members of the DSCC (also known as “Delegates”) come from the following sources:
- Elected through County Committees
- Appointed by Democratic Elected Officials / Nominees
- Elected through Assembly District
Become Democratic State Central Committee Delegate through Assembly District Elections
The Assembly District Delegates (ADDs) and Assembly District Executive Board representatives (“E-Bd Reps”) are elected at Assembly District Election Meetings (ADEMs) held in each of the 80 Assembly Districts. The California Democratic Party is convening ADEMs on January 8 and 9, 2011, where 12 people (6 men / 6 women) from each Assembly District will be elected to represent their district for both the 2011 and 2012 State Conventions.

Become Democratic State Central Committee Delegate through Los Angeles County Democratic Party
The Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) has 233 slots in its delegation to the Democratic State Central Committee (DSCC) for the 2011-2013 term.
LACDP will hold an additional election to fill the vacancies in our delegation at the LACDP Meeting on Tuesday, January 11, 2011.
To be eligible run to fill one of the slots, you must be a Regular or Alternate Member of LACDP, whose dues are paid in full or who has been granted a dues waiver, and should not already be a member of the DSCC by other means. All candidates must submit a “Declaration of Candidacy” form to LACDP. The form must be received by Monday, January 10, 2011, no later than 5:00 PM.
Any delegation slots unfilled following the January 11, 2011, meeting may be filled by appointment of the LACDP Policy Committee at its January meeting.
