Los Angeles County Democratic Party Chair and California Democratic Party Vice-Chair Eric C. Bauman released the following statement following the nomination of Hillary Rodham Clinton for President at the 2016 Democratic National Convention:

“On behalf of the officers and members of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, I offer our heartfelt congratulations to Hillary Rodham Clinton upon accepting the Democratic Party nomination for President of the United States – the first woman in our Nation’s history to do so from a major political Party.  We also want to thank Bernie Sanders for energizing an entire generation of voters to becoming active in the political process, and for ensuring that the Democratic Party has a more progressive platform. We look forward to working with him in the days and months ahead.

With a proven record of fighting for children, families, equal rights, and America’s  security; from attorney to First Lady to US Senator and Secretary of State, it is clear she will make an extraordinary President. We look forward to spreading Secretary Clinton’s message of unity, hope and progress, and forcing the final cracks in that highest of glass ceilings as it completely shatters on November 8th.”
