New Frontier Democratic Club will bestow 2011 Political Achievement Award at its 51st Annual Installation/Awards Dinner
LOS ANGELES – The New Frontier Democratic Club announced that it will be honoring Los Angeles County Democratic Party Chair Eric C. Bauman with its 2011 Political Achievement Award at the 51st Annual New Frontier Democratic Club Installation/Awards Dinner on Sunday, March 20, 2011, at 1:30 PM at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Los Angeles.
Inspired by President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address, the theme of the 2011 New Frontier Democratic Club Awards Dinner is “Winning the Future through American Innovation.”
Other honorees include U.S. Representative Diane Watson (ret.), receiving the 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award; Service Employees International Union-United Long Term Care Workers Union President Laphonza Butler, receiving the 2011 Community Services Award; and Dr. Bill Releford of Diabetes Amputation Prevention Medicine and Areva Martin of Special Needs Network receiving the 2011 Trailblazer Awards.

For 51 years, the New Frontier Democratic Club has set the standard fighting for America’s future through innovation. It has been on the forefront of standing up for civil rights, lending a voice to minority communities, and electing countless Democrats to public office, from presidents to school boards. I am proud to join the New Frontier Democratic Club and my fellow honorees in the fight for our Democratic future,” said Eric Bauman, Chair of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party.
Bauman, a registered nurse, is also the Vice Chair of the California Democratic Party. Currently, he serves as the Los Angeles Director of the Assembly Speaker’s Office of Member Services.
