Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) Chair Eric C. Bauman released the following statement regarding the November 6, 2012 election results:

Reelection of Senator Dianne Feinstein

“Congratulations to Senator Dianne Feinstein on her re-election to the United States Senate.  The Los Angeles County Democratic Party applauds Senator Feinstein’s outstanding leadership in our nation’s capitol.  We look forward to her championing the interests of all Californians these next six years.”

Democrats Strengthen Majority in United States Senate

“The Los Angeles County Democratic Party congratulates Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Democratic Senators, who stood their ground and fought the unprecedented flood of corporate special interest money, on maintaining their majority in the United States Senate.  We look forward to Senate Democrats continuing to represent the best interests of the American people.”

Reelection of Congress Member Maxine Waters

“Congratulations to Congress Member Maxine Waters on her re-election.  We look forward to her continued leadership in the United States Congress and fighting for our community.”

Speaker John A. Pérez Maintains Majority in California Assembly

“On behalf of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, I congratulate Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez for winning re-election and in maintaining a Democratic majority in the California State Assembly.  California’s voters have wisely recognized that the Republicans’ divisive gimmicks and massive attempt to buy California’s public offices were wrong for California.  They know that if we want to rebuild California, Democrats must win.  Tonight, we celebrate a victory for the Democrats in the State Assembly.  Most importantly, we celebrate the victory of millions of Californians as we defeated the right-wing’s attempt to roll back the progress that we have made.”
