Los Angeles County Democratic Party Holds Biennial Organizational Meeting
Chair Eric C. Bauman reelected by acclamation to unprecedented sixth term
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) held its biennial organizing meeting on Monday, July 12, 2010, at the Los Angeles County Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration. California Supreme Court Justice Carlos Moreno administered the oath of office to the newly elected members of LACDP.
LACDP Chair Eric C. Bauman was reelected by acclamation to serve an unprecedented sixth term. LACDP’s Vice Chairs, Secretaries and Controller were also reelected to serve another two-year term.
“I am honored and humbled to have been reelected to lead our team in the difficult and critical fights that Democrats face this November. I congratulate our newly sworn-in LACDP members and my fellow officers who were also reelected Monday night.
“The Los Angeles County Democratic Party will execute an aggressive, cutting edge plan to turn out LA’s 2.2 million Democrats, ensuring Democratic victory in statewide and local races this November. We know that LA’s voters are the secret to Democratic success and we intend to mobilize them to move California forward,” said Bauman.
In addition to his role as Chair of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, Bauman is the Vice Chair of the California Democratic Party.
Also reelected on Monday evening were Bobby Jean Anderson and Terrence Montgomery as Vice-Chairs, the Honorable Miguel Santiago as Corresponding Secretary, Peter Rudinskas as Recording Secretary, and Karen Wingard as Controller. All officers were reelected by acclamation and will serve for the 2010-2012 term.
