Los Angeles County Democratic Party Launches New Ad Highlighting Meg Whitman’s Attempt to Buy California Governorship

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) today released its third political ad of 2010, “No Sale!” highlighting Republican gubernatorial candidate and billionaire Meg Whitman’s attempt to buy the California Governorship. Viewers of this ad will gain an important insight into a candidate who every hour spends the equivalent of the annual salaries of two minimum wage workers for her gubernatorial bid. Visit www.lacdp.org/nosale to view the video.

“Meg Whitman is on a shopping spree. She thinks running for Governor of California is like a trip to the local big box store. She’s said she’ll spend more than $200 million to buy the California Governorship and has already spent over $100 million – that’s half a million dollars a day! We call on all California voters to tell Meg Whitman that California is NOT for sale and that our votes cannot be bought,” said Eric C. Bauman, LACDP Chair.
