Los Angeles County Democratic Party Endorses in Key Los Angeles City Races
Democratic Party endorses Wendy Greuel, Jack Weiss, and Paul Koretz
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) voted to endorse Los Angeles Councilmember Wendy Greuel for Los Angeles City Controller, Los Angeles Councilmember Jack Weiss for Los Angeles City Attorney, and former Assemblymember Paul Koretz for Los Angeles City Council in District 5 in the March 3, 2008 city election.
Councilmember Wendy Greuel is running to replace City Controller Laura Chick. Councilmember Jack Weiss is vying to replace Rocky Delgadillo as City Attorney.
“Councilmembers Jack Weiss and Wendy Greuel are extraordinary leaders who have been tireless advocates for the hard-working people of our community. They are fighters and problem-solvers who will work hard to stand up for the people of Los Angeles in their new roles as City Attorney and City Controller. Former Assemblymember Paul Koretz was a progressive champion in Sacramento and we expect that he will bring those values to the Los Angeles City Council. The Democratic Party proudly and overwhelmingly endorse Jack Weiss for Los Angeles City Attorney, Wendy Greuel for Los Angeles City Controller, and Paul Koretz for Los Angeles City Council in District 5,” said Eric C.
