Cutting-Edge Facebook Page as Mobilization Tool for Activists
LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) has officially launched its new, cutting-edge Facebook page as an important online communication and mobilization tool for activists.
The new LACDP Facebook page will allow Democrats to sign-up for LACDP email alerts, find and get involved with local Democratic clubs, get answers to frequently asked questions about voter rights, and share information with LACDP and fellow Democrats – all activities central to LACDP’s mission to elect more Democrats and promote progressive policy.
In addition, the Welcome tab of the Facebook page features LACDP’s rapid response video, “Not This Year,” with RNC Chairman Michael Steele casting doubts on his own party. This video and the Facebook page are just the first elements of LACDP’s strategy for victory in 2010.
