Los Angeles County Democratic Party Holds Biennial Organizational Meeting
Chair Eric C. Bauman unanimously re-elected to unprecedented fifth term
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) held its biennial Organizational Meeting at the Los Angeles County Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration on Monday evening, July 14, 2008. LACDP Chair Eric C. Bauman was re-elected by acclamation to serve an unprecedented fifth two-year term.
“I am honored and humbled to have been re-elected with the unanimous support and confidence of LACDP’s members. This is not the time to celebrate; however, it is the time to move quickly into general election battle mode. The Los Angeles County Democratic Party has developed major plans to take full advantage of the Big Blue Wave blowing across America and California; we plan the most aggressive voter registration, education, motivation and mobilization programs we’ve ever implemented. Our Red Zone program will once again aggressively target Republican areas in and around Los Angeles. And you can rest assured that Los Angeles will make the difference in defeating the divisive and hateful ballot measures that conservatives have placed on the ballot.
“The Los Angeles County Democratic Party and its members and activists will be working hard from now through Election Day to make certain that we Democrats ride the Big Blue Wave all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and beyond,” said Bauman.
Also re-elected for the 2008-2010 term were Vice-Chairs Bobbie Jean Anderson and Terrence Montgomery, Corresponding Secretary Miguel Santiago and Controller Karen Wingard.
