The “Road to 2012″ Begins September 2011

Next year, Democrats across the country will be focused on re-electing President Obama and retaking Congress. Here in California, we will also be working to send Senator Dianne Feinstein back to Washington, increasing our Democratic majorities in the state legislature and fighting for our statewide ballot measure positions.

But we can’t let all the work wait until next year. With so much ahead of us in 2012, here are some great ways you can push towards a Democratic victory starting today:

Increase Voter Turnout by Converting Election Day Democrats into Permanent Vote-By-Mail Voters
Mobilize Democratic voters on Sept. 17th in Los Angeles for the pivotal 2012 elections by helping the California Democratic Party(CDP) turn registered Democrats who occasionally vote into Permanent Vote-by-Mail voters in order to increase Democratic voter turnout!

Join Us as L.A. Invades the Inland Empire to Increase Democratic Voter Registration
Democrats from around the state will travel to San Bernardino County to register voters to turn the Inland Empire bluer! Join us as we help our neighboring Democrats and increase the Democratic vote for statewide candidates and issues.

Sunday, September 25
Attend the “Know Your District” Workshop, Presented By the LA County Federation of Labor and LACDP
We will provide an overview of the new State Assembly, Senate and Congressional districts in L.A. County, with breakout sessions where voters can join with Democratic activists and organized labor to learn more about their new districts.

Wednesday, September 28
Register New Citizens to Vote at a Naturalization Ceremony
Help newly sworn-in United States citizens take the first step in exercising their most important civic duty – voting. Let’s make sure they vote Democrat. Join the Democratic Party’s new citizen voter registration drive at L.A. County’s Naturalization Ceremony.

Sign Up to Be A Precinct Leader and Help Get-Out-The-Vote in Your Neighborhood!
As we build momentum for November 2012, we are searching for motivated Democrats to reach out to their neighbors, register new voters, inform them about Democratic issues and candidates, and help ensure they turn out to vote on Election Day. We will provide you with training, materials and support, all you need is a good pair of walking shoes and a desire to turn your neighborhood Democratic Blue!
