Los Angeles County Democratic Party Chair and California Democratic Party Vice Chair Eric C. Bauman released the following statement on the local and municipal elections in Los Angeles County:
“Last Tuesday, voters across Los Angeles County played an integral role in determining the future of our local communities by voting in their local elections. The results of those elections make one thing very clear – people want leaders who will fight for Democratic values and ideals.”
“Sixty percent of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party’s endorsed candidates won their races, including 11 non-incumbents. Additionally, more than seventy percent of LACDP’s endorsed ballot measure positions prevailed. These results are a testament to the voters’ trust and confidence in the Democratic Party’s endorsements in local elections.
“The Los Angeles County Democratic Party and our endorsed candidates stand firm in the commitment to improve the quality of life in our communities, ensure a first-class education for our kids, and fight tirelessly to create jobs, strengthen the economy, and support crucial local services.
“I congratulate those endorsed Democrats who won their races on Election Day, and I thank those who did not quite make it to the finish line. I look forward to working with all of them to move Los Angeles County forward, neighborhood by neighborhood.”
