Supporting Water Conservation Planning in California
Whereas, many areas in California and the Southwest suffer from occasional severe droughts; and
Whereas, many droughts have a severe negative effect on many California water districts which have neither water meters nor water rationing plans; and
Whereas, without water meters even a voluntary water rationing plan would be useless;
Therefore be it resolved, that the Los Angeles County Democratic Party urge Democratic members of the state legislature and the Governor to require California water boards make contingency water rationing plans and further require that every water user has a water meter.
