INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

This program provides a unique opportunity for young, hungry, and passionate future leaders to gain hands-on experience in Democratic politics, strengthen their understanding of the political process and prepare them for future political opportunities. In addition to operational and administrative duties, interns will have the chance to participate in local grassroots organizing, plan major LACDP functions, and meet with state, local and party officials.
Applications for our internships are due on a rolling basis, and we will be reviewing applications until all spots are filled. 

Open to current college students or recent graduates in Los Angeles County. This internship is in person, and unpaid.

 

COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

In addition to administrative duties, interns will have the chance to participate in local grassroots organizing, delivering on the communications plan of the LACDP, plan major functions, and meet with state, local and party officials.

Open to current college students or recent graduates in Los Angeles County. This internship is in person, and unpaid.

 

JACKIE HAWTHORNE LEADERSHIP FELLOW

This leadership program is an incredible opportunity for one college-student per cohort to prepare them for future leadership opportunities within the party and beyond. In addition to working directly with top-level LACDP Staff and Officers, the Fellow will have the opportunity to help plan and execute LACDP events, sit in on top level meetings, oversee the development of the intern cohort, and so much more. This is an in-person fellowship.

The LACDP Fellow receives a $4000 stipend, and is open to current college students or recent graduates in Los Angeles County.
