The Los Angeles County Democratic Party issues endorsements in local and municipal candidate races and takes positions on statewide and local ballot measures. Endorsements issued by the LACDP in local and municipal races become the official endorsements of the California Democratic Party.
Federal and State Offices: For information regarding Democratic Party endorsements in federal and state candidate races, please visit the California Democratic Party Endorsements Webpage.
County Offices and Judicial Offices: The LACDP Candidate Interview Committee conducts the endorsement process for Los Angeles County offices, Los Angeles City offices, Los Angeles Unified School District offices, Los Angeles Community College District offices, and any local offices that overlap more than five (5) Assembly Districts after the candidate filing deadline. Likewise, the LACDP Judicial Interview Committee conducts the endorsement process for judicial offices after the candidate filing deadline.
Local and Municipal Offices: The LACDP Assembly District (AD) Delegations conduct the endorsement process for local and municipal offices.
Ballot Measures: The LACDP Ballot Measure Committee conducts the endorsement process for statewide, countywide, and local ballot measures.
