LACDP Chair Mark J Gonzalez releases statement
on Los Angeles County and Los Angeles City Endorsements
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA --
LACDP Chair Mark J. Gonzalez issued the following statement on Los Angeles County and Los Angeles City Endorsements from the Los Angeles County Democratic Party:
“Our country, state, and county continue to be at a pivotal moment as Republicans continue their coordinated attacks on workers, families, and marginalized communities. Last night, Los Angeles Democrats met to consider the endorsements of several major countywide and citywide races for the upcoming June primary as we look towards the future of Los Angeles.
We are proud to support so many incredible candidates for Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, Los Angeles City Council, Los Angeles Unified School District, and several critical Superior Court Judicial races. While our body did not reach a consensus in races for Los Angeles Board of Supervisors District 3, Los Angeles City Mayor, Los Angeles City Attorney, and Los Angeles City Council District 5, we are proud that so many Democrats have stepped up to run to continue to serve the people of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles voters know we are in the midst of a housing, homelessness and public safety crisis, an assault on workers’ rights, and a critical need to rebuild after a crippling pandemic. Our city and county deserve leaders who have the experience necessary to lead and make the decisions that will continue to move Los Angeles forward. On behalf of our 3.1 million Democrats, I look forward to our party supporting all of our endorsed candidates in June, and working alongside them once they are elected.”
